Our return policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and easy to follow—so you always feel supported from the moment you order to the moment you decide a return is needed.

We offer a 30-day return window, beginning on the day your package is marked as delivered by the carrier. If you decide to return an item, simply reach out to us and make sure the package is postmarked within those 30 days. This time frame allows you to examine your purchase carefully and decide whether it’s truly right for you. After the 30-day period has passed, we may no longer be able to process returns or issue refunds.

To qualify for a return, each item must meet specific conditions. Every product must be in its original, unused condition, showing no signs of wear, washing, damage, or alterations of any kind. All packaging must remain intact, including protective bags and boxes. Tags and labels must be attached, exactly as they arrived. Proof of purchase is required—this may be a receipt, order confirmation email, or packing slip—so we can verify your order quickly and process your refund without delays. Items not meeting these requirements may be denied or only partially refunded.

December Story takes full responsibility for any mistake caused on our end. If an item arrives with manufacturing defects—such as misprints, discoloration, stitching issues, fabric flaws, or stains—you are eligible for a full refund. We also cover cases where the design or text is incorrect due to our production process, including spelling errors or misaligned graphics that differ from the approved design. If you receive the wrong item in color, size, or style, we will correct the issue and cover all return shipping costs. Simply contact us with your order number and clear photos of the issue.

However, certain situations cannot be accepted for return. Because many of our items are custom-made or personalized, we cannot issue refunds for incorrect size choices, wrong color selections, or errors in custom text submitted during ordering. Returns based on change of mind or minor color differences—such as variations between screen display and actual item—are also not eligible. We recommend reviewing all details carefully before placing your order.

If you need to start a return, simply email us with your order number and a brief explanation. We will provide the return address and instructions. The item must be packaged securely, and we recommend using a trackable shipping method. Please note that unless the return is due to our error, customers are responsible for return shipping costs, and the original shipping fee is non-refundable.

Once your return arrives at our facility, our Quality Control team will inspect it to ensure it meets our eligibility requirements. You will receive an update within 3–5 business days regarding approval. If approved, your refund will be returned to your original payment method. While we process refunds quickly, banks or payment providers may take 5–10 business days to complete the transaction.
